There are a number of ways to earn advertising credits on traffic exchanges. Perhaps most common of these is to surf the traffic exchange, and earn credits by viewing other advertising pages. Generally, a free account requires you to surf 3 pages to get 1 credit.
Traffic exchanges will normally charge you 1 credit for each time your ad appears in their rotation. If your ads appear 30 times a day, then you are charged 30 credits. If you run out of credits, they will automatically stop showing.
