Thanks Alan for your article. In general terms, purchasing an established business with a track record is less risky than starting from scratch. The buyer saves also a lot of time and energy. A fresh buyer can put all his/her energy to develop the business even further rather than start building from ground zero. In the particular case of Internet businesses, I completely agree that they are much less expensive than traditional brick and mortar businesses. I would caution however internet business buyers to first learn all they can learn about Internet Marketing before they purchase the business for two principal reasons. First, they will be able to better evaluate the business before buying it and second they can easily maintain the profitability and even improve it after the purchase.
