An Idea For A Unique Home Based Business Opportunity

Today I want to cover a unique home based business opportunity that arises when you sell big ticket items.

Imagine for a moment that you had a goal of earning $80,000 from your home based business this year. ( I know some of you are saying "I could never do that", and more of you are saying "I would hate to have to go back to that point"!) Anyway, one way to do this is by selling big ticket items, earning $1,000 a sale or more.

Now, this method may require more effort to make each sale, but the rewards are much greater. Instead of needing 4,000 sales at $20 each, you would only need to make 80 sales at $1,000 to reach your goal of $80,000.

These are generally products that are not going to be sold by inexperienced Internet marketers, although they could be an excellent way to get started because of how much money you can make on each sale.

As a general rule it is thought that people need to see a product as many as 12 times before they are actually ready to buy it. This number could even be more here because of the amount of money involved in these type of purchases.

This being the case, you should understand that you have a unique home based business opportunity selling big-ticket items, but you cannot refer traffic directly to your selling page. A much better method is to send traffic to your own custom designed landing page and then capture their contact information for future follow up.

Follow up is the essential part to making this type of a home business opportunity work. You cannot count on a person bookmarking your website and coming back on their own.

You will have to take a much more proactive approach and be contacting them on a regular basis, keeping your name and your product in front of them. You do this by using an auto responder to e-mail to your prospects.

Auto responders allow you to quickly and easily create a form that captures the person's name, e-mail address, and any other information that you want. Once they have filled out their information they are sent to the autoresponder and a series of prewritten messages kick in.

Many products that you sell as a big-ticket item have prewritten messages already in place for you. All you have to do is copy those into your autoresponder, personalize them, and you are ready to go.

What makes this so unique is that this is a very specialized niche to be involved in. You eliminate the majority of your competition when you sell big-ticket items, because most Internet marketers are not selling anything.

If you utilize this approach of a landing page, and autoresponder for follow-up, you dramatically increase the odds of making more sales and making your unique home based business opportunity profitable in the long run.

Whether you sell big or small ticket items, get familiar with them, and focus on becoming an expert in that one area.

It's true that you need to capture email addresses in order to sell big ticket items - people like to think things over and you need to be able to follow up with them.

Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never seen before, and I believe it to be revolutionary, and I'll explain why.

In my past experience, you join a typical program, they give you some cheesy promo tools, and they never say a word to you, they just expect you to go out and recruit as best you can on your own...

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

First, you must have a strong WHY.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to make money with affiliate programs or make your living on the Internet, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money online. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
