Using Classifieds To Build An Affiliate Marketing Network

Online gurus very often talk of the merits of two programs: pay-per-click against pay-for-performance, and with good reason. They have become the workhorses to utilise in developing an affiliate marketing network, and at the same time not puting a large strain on the marketer's budget. Home based business entrepeneurs and start-up companies in general tend to use this type of promotion in a default mode, with huge numbers chasing this market. However many lose out, not as a result of unsuccessful products or un-professional presentation material, but simply because they couldn't generate sufficient interest by the people who signed up in their affiliate marketing network.

As a general rule, people who sign up to post links and banners or search boxes on their site will be looking for heavy-hitters to add credibility to that webmaster and their site, whilst smaller players are usually avoided as they just cannot offer the air of acceptance to the site. Similarly, a lot of the webmasters signing up for a smaller business affiliate marketing network will also be start-ups themselves, which in a way will hinder the business's effort to interact with a large number of potential customers. Although only a small amount of money is spent on this kind of advertising, it often hardly justified on the results achieved.

However, a new trend has become more accepted by small business owners, and has proven to be a money maker in such a big way that it is threatening to leave the tried and trusted pay-for-performance or pay-per-click affiliate marketing network in the dust for home based entrepeneurs. That trend is classiied ads. Does it sound strange to build an affiliate network this way? Well, if you take a more careful look at the trend, maybe not.

Using a few well chosen words, you have the chance to promote your network and generate interest in your business on a far-reaching scale. You will find that not every print or online publication willallow you to post your ads, but in general you can start getting your message out about your business by posting in some free online publications. You should research the sites with high traffic and abide by their submission instructions to avoid your ad getting buried in the site. Provided you can back up the claims, use powerful marketing words that require a response on the part of the reader, like "visiting" or "clicking" and rely on heavy-hitters such as "guaranteed" or "proven". Give a real and measurable benefit to this action, and you should see more visitors to your site. Of course, the next step is to turn your new visitor into a qualified lead and then happy customer. Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
