The Key Is Persistance

As you start your own business, wether online or offline, you will come accross difficulties which will cause you to begin to doubt your abilities. This is very common, and even the most successful of people have suffered in this department. One thing I have learned with the several business ventures I ran before starting my online business, is that success comes to those who persist in doing the things that will build their business, despite these naging doubts. Three constant themes you will hear from successful online business owners are - Persistance, Duplication and Consistency. Its a bit like the old mantra of Real Estate - Location, Location, Location.

One of the saddest things is to see someone start their own home based business with great excitement, set out into the world of Internet Marketing in the belief that they will strike gold quickly and with minimum effort. We all know that isn't going to happen, yet when reality hits, they blame everything but themselves for the lack of success. Yet if they had started with the knowledge that just like a conventional offline business, an online business requires planing and persistant effort, they would have built a substantial business in a relatively short period of time.

Developing an online, home based business won't give you something for nothing, but will provide great rewards for those who apply simple, basic principles on a persistant basis. Any business takes time and effort to develop. It takes consistency and duplication. You must work consistently, apply the principle of duplication to your business and be persistant. As you persist and keep doing the basics over and over again, you will develop momentum, and the amount of trafic to your site will increase.

Don't just write one article and sit back, don't just submit one advertisement, don't just write one blog post one time and think you are finished. These are all great things to do to promote your business, but on their own won't be enough. You need to do them again and again, testing your ads, improving your article writing skills, developing relationships through forums and blogs. Over time this will increase your search engine rankings and your business will be growing.

Above all, keep your belief in your own abilities. Get guidance from more successful people through the appropriate forums, and feed off their knowledge. If you do this persistantly, you will get to love your business with a passion, and it becomes fun. That, combined with your expanding income, will provide you with many unexpected blessings. Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never seen before, and I believe it to be revolutionary, and I'll explain why.

In my past experience, you join a typical program, they give you some cheesy promo tools, and they never say a word to you, they just expect you to go out and recruit as best you can on your own...

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

First, you must have a strong WHY.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to make money with affiliate programs or make your living on the Internet, you won't. It's that simple.

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
